Why must we get up at 5:30 AM? hmmmm

Let's see why. I think Dec. 11, 2008 will be a morning we will never forget. John wakes me up at 5 AM like he usually does for his breakfast. and I turn on the news. I see snow on the traffic camera. Webb leaves to go to work, and brings back a snowball. Tells me to come outside..it's snowing. not normal louisiana wet sleet snow...no like Canadian snow. Beautiful. I woke someone up at 6AM to go play in it. Only in Louisiana right?

here are the pictures!

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

Hey everyone! I know everyone is wondering how our weekend went. It was soo much fun. We were going downtown on friday night to do the Light Up Downtown BR celebration, but yet it was too cold. But she did have the best time ever.

We dropped off John John at my mom's house. When we were leaving, she pointed to my mom's door and said "jay jay?". I said "no he has to stay here", she said "noooooooo". She was not happy I left him there, but later on she found out why.

We go into the River Center. We're thinking its in the actual arena. We were high up too. So when we walked in, we realized we were in a theater kinda like the Hymann Center. So we were kinda excited. Good seats either way, except if you were in the back of the floor. So whenever she heard the "hot dog" song, (the song from Mickey Mouse clubhouse) she got excited.

So we waited a little while and then everyone started coming in. Then they started playing shows from Playhouse Disney. So she got excited after watching those. Then the show began! when the kids screamed, she screamed. She went along with everything. Whenever Mickey Mouse came out, she was so stunned. She just looked at him, mouth open, and was just so stunned. It was priceless. I didn't get that picture, but I can picture it vividly. She had a blast. :D it was so fun to watch her.

Then we went go get John and all was right in the world again.

John went to the doctor today. He weighs 13 lbs 10 oz (didn't gain or lose any in 2 weeks), but he is 24 inches long. He's tall. He is 75% percentile for both weight and height. Mason was always 25% for height. His head is 25%, but his daddy has a small head.

Everything seems to be doing well. We are hopefully doing some Christmas shopping this weekend. We had a plan come up, but Webb might work that Saturday. so i dunno.

one more day!!!

Hey! It is official, I have been slacking on this blog. I haven't had time until recently. John is basically on somewhat of a schedule and he is napping right now. I can finally do things online. I have a lot to keep updated as well. I'll do one thing at a time.

Well, you maybe asking "one more day". Well one more day until Mason's life changes! She is gonna meet Mickey Mouse! We are taking her to Playhouse Disney Live tomorrow, and I think I'm more excited than anyone. I just want to see her face when she sees Mickey. It's probably gonna be one of those "holy sh*t, it's really him" kinda faces. excuse my language, but I can't think of anything else.

John is quite the sleeper right now. He sleeps pretty much all day and practically all night. He gets maybe once a night. So not so bad. He's easy like how Mason was. I have some oldie videos I need to put on here of her. When I saw them, I about cried. You just don't realize how big they are until you see pictures of them a year ago. Much less videos. I'm definitely enjoying his baby stage, because I won't have another one for 3 more years. He's so lovable, cuddly, and smiles when I sing to him.

I see so many traits of me in both these kids. Mason does her "flying to heaven" thing, and my father and my aunt Pam told me that I did that. Her attitude is so passionate when she wants something. She's really a happy kid. John, he plays with his ears at all times. If you knew me as a baby, (i so have to post this picture too). I used to suck my thumb and my other thumb in my ear. it's a sight. :D

Mason's speech therapy. Let me elaborate on that. I can breathe a sigh of relief I think. She still MAY need it, but she needs to get re-evaluated in general. she has started speaking within the last 2-3 weeks. She is starting her two word phrases now. Very slowly but surely. When I was speaking to the lady at Early Steps, she started counting to herself. She has never counted by herself before. Then the LSU evaluation wasn't a true evaluation. She's very very shy around people she doesn't know. She didn't cooperate in general, and hardly spoke. That's another reason she needs to be re-evaluated.
