Why must we get up at 5:30 AM? hmmmm

Let's see why. I think Dec. 11, 2008 will be a morning we will never forget. John wakes me up at 5 AM like he usually does for his breakfast. and I turn on the news. I see snow on the traffic camera. Webb leaves to go to work, and brings back a snowball. Tells me to come outside..it's snowing. not normal louisiana wet sleet snow...no like Canadian snow. Beautiful. I woke someone up at 6AM to go play in it. Only in Louisiana right?

here are the pictures!

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

Hey everyone! I know everyone is wondering how our weekend went. It was soo much fun. We were going downtown on friday night to do the Light Up Downtown BR celebration, but yet it was too cold. But she did have the best time ever.

We dropped off John John at my mom's house. When we were leaving, she pointed to my mom's door and said "jay jay?". I said "no he has to stay here", she said "noooooooo". She was not happy I left him there, but later on she found out why.

We go into the River Center. We're thinking its in the actual arena. We were high up too. So when we walked in, we realized we were in a theater kinda like the Hymann Center. So we were kinda excited. Good seats either way, except if you were in the back of the floor. So whenever she heard the "hot dog" song, (the song from Mickey Mouse clubhouse) she got excited.

So we waited a little while and then everyone started coming in. Then they started playing shows from Playhouse Disney. So she got excited after watching those. Then the show began! when the kids screamed, she screamed. She went along with everything. Whenever Mickey Mouse came out, she was so stunned. She just looked at him, mouth open, and was just so stunned. It was priceless. I didn't get that picture, but I can picture it vividly. She had a blast. :D it was so fun to watch her.

Then we went go get John and all was right in the world again.

John went to the doctor today. He weighs 13 lbs 10 oz (didn't gain or lose any in 2 weeks), but he is 24 inches long. He's tall. He is 75% percentile for both weight and height. Mason was always 25% for height. His head is 25%, but his daddy has a small head.

Everything seems to be doing well. We are hopefully doing some Christmas shopping this weekend. We had a plan come up, but Webb might work that Saturday. so i dunno.

one more day!!!

Hey! It is official, I have been slacking on this blog. I haven't had time until recently. John is basically on somewhat of a schedule and he is napping right now. I can finally do things online. I have a lot to keep updated as well. I'll do one thing at a time.

Well, you maybe asking "one more day". Well one more day until Mason's life changes! She is gonna meet Mickey Mouse! We are taking her to Playhouse Disney Live tomorrow, and I think I'm more excited than anyone. I just want to see her face when she sees Mickey. It's probably gonna be one of those "holy sh*t, it's really him" kinda faces. excuse my language, but I can't think of anything else.

John is quite the sleeper right now. He sleeps pretty much all day and practically all night. He gets maybe once a night. So not so bad. He's easy like how Mason was. I have some oldie videos I need to put on here of her. When I saw them, I about cried. You just don't realize how big they are until you see pictures of them a year ago. Much less videos. I'm definitely enjoying his baby stage, because I won't have another one for 3 more years. He's so lovable, cuddly, and smiles when I sing to him.

I see so many traits of me in both these kids. Mason does her "flying to heaven" thing, and my father and my aunt Pam told me that I did that. Her attitude is so passionate when she wants something. She's really a happy kid. John, he plays with his ears at all times. If you knew me as a baby, (i so have to post this picture too). I used to suck my thumb and my other thumb in my ear. it's a sight. :D

Mason's speech therapy. Let me elaborate on that. I can breathe a sigh of relief I think. She still MAY need it, but she needs to get re-evaluated in general. she has started speaking within the last 2-3 weeks. She is starting her two word phrases now. Very slowly but surely. When I was speaking to the lady at Early Steps, she started counting to herself. She has never counted by herself before. Then the LSU evaluation wasn't a true evaluation. She's very very shy around people she doesn't know. She didn't cooperate in general, and hardly spoke. That's another reason she needs to be re-evaluated.

wow 2 months!?!

I haven't updated this since I had John John right? Things are nuts at my house. Webb started a new job where he works 10 hour days usually, so I don't really spend time with him.

A lot of things have happened since then other than the arrival of John john.

First is first, I will talk bout Mason. Mason is wonderful with John John. she was really excited after John was born, and now it's like the excitement is gone. She is way more clingier to me since Webb has started his job.
I don't know if many know, but we got Mason's speech evaluated at LSU for a speech delay. She isn't speaking more than 20 words, and not putting two word phrases together. At 24 months, it needs to happen. So of course with me taking courses in Speech Pathology, I knew something was wrong. So we got her evaluated, and her expressive language is way below average. They say 6-9 months, but I think it's more 12-18 months. She doesn't talk to people she doesn't know. she's really shy. She was like that at the evaluation. That was stated in the paperwork. We didn't go trick or treating, because someone refused to go. We got her hair and makeup done, and she refused to put the dress on. so we just boo at the zoo. we forgot the camera in the car. So we don't have pictures. We have one picture with a snake, but it's a polaroid. I don't have a scanner, so it's not going to come out good if I take a picture of a picture.

Now John John! He's doing well. He got his pee pee cut on Friday. He's doing quite well. He also just started to smile on my birthday of all days. Now he smiles at Mason and his uncle Jake. He will just look at his daddy oh so goofy.

I will add pictures only to photobucket, it's a whole lot easier in general to do it that way, then individual add pictures to this thing and in an e-mail. ok i'm just being completely lazy.

ooooo nesting!

If you have come to my house, and realized I have been in the nesting process. no more artwork. I got a package from a friend I know from the internet named Kim (but only I can call her Kimmo), and she gave me LOADS of clothes, diapers, bottles, and whatnot. so that was AWESOME! I cried.

we went to target yesterday to get bottles, extra nipples, extra liners, and cloth diapers for spit rags. so we are officially "ready" house wise haha SO i think. I'm ready physically, but not really. I still do not know what to expect from labor, since I got the epidural way before it got to the point I was hanging on the handles for dear life. So the unknown is what scares me. Yes, I have had contractions with him, but not in a pattern like they have to be. some have hurt, some are just regular cramps. so if anything interesting does occur, I will call.

now we are getting TS Fay coming our way. I know it's not gonna be as bad as Florida, but in front of our apartment floods REAL easy. One day it rained and the rain was almost as high as our front porch. that's the only thing that worries me.

BTW..we had to go to the WIC office to get Mason's new WIC vouchers, so she got weighed and measured.

Mason is 25 lbs (skinny little mini), and she is 32 inches!!!! she is almost 3 FT!!!! Yea I realized today while walking to the mailbox with her and her daddy. She's a little person now. Yea I realized that a long time ago, but when you see her and it just hits you. It's like WOW. yea she's a typical 2 year old. doesn't listen, pushing every button you have, the temper tantrums, but she can be such an angel. :D

I go to the doctor Tuesday afternoon, so after that I will update everyone!

Like I promised...

If you have come into my house within the past few weeks, you will see my daughter is the next picasso. We have come to the conclusion that she either be A) an artist or B) makeup artist. She loves playing in makeup. She knows eyeshadow goes on the eyes, lipstick goes on the lips. she knows it buddy. Since I have the lack of artist skills in my family, yet my godfather, my cousin, and my brother got that gene. Mason's dad can draw pretty good. So I see where she can be the artist of the family.

Also, we had to take Mason to the doctor. If you were at the hospital when she was born, you have met her doctor. a nice looking light skinned black man. whenever he came to get a patient (yes they do that sometimes) out of the waiting room, Webb literally asked me serious face and all, if he got any whiter??? After my look of disbelief that he would ask that, I said no he always was light skinned. I think that had to be the highlight of the doctors visit, b/c that was too funny. but on with why she was the doctor. She has been having a pretty bad chest cough the past week that wouldn't go away. so we find out its caused by an allergy (don't get ahead of me yet), because her nose is a little wet, but it's not runny. so he gave her some singulair! which does not come in a liquid, it comes in a chewable tablet. After she ate her dinner last night, I had to force it down her throat. anything that is forced down, is always forced up right? Correct! Since I have cat mommy reflexes, I caught it all. GO ME! so I had to put it in her Tang (yes my child drinks that nasty stuff) today, and she is drinking it slowly. she might know it's tainted with the evil chewable pill. and the allergy you might be asking.....let's do some math here

We got Ty first week of July, wasn't around for almost 10 days, and we got him back. and two or three weeks have passed, and she gets a cough. an allergy cough at that. does that seem like little killer would be the culprit? Maybe.....that's the only thing that has changed in our house. and the dander takes a little while to get thru the house. so when we go back for her 2 yr appointment, we will ask him if he could be the culprit.

Now update on my big ol belly. First of all, Istill weigh 136 like I did 3 weeks ago! GO ME!!!! Then I got checked and he said I've dilated maybe a finger. soooooo apparently I lost the infamous mucus plug (i'm not into details on this whatsoever), and it's just a waiting game. Let's all hope and pray he waits until after the first of the month, so we can get the bills squared away. I was dilated with Mason at 2cm for 2 weeks, and was 3 cm when I went into the hospital for labor. I know the labor of the 2nd child is gonna come faster. so it's a wait and see kinda of thing. we have so much to do before he gets here. we need to do a clean of the house, esp my lovely walls of art. Sorry doody, but they gotta go. we need to get a playpen with bassinet for him, so he can sleep in our room for the night time feedings. boy oh boy, how I will love that.
that is pretty much it. I shall enjoy my abuse I get from my son since I can still hang onto him (literally). it is true what I have been told, boys are rougher in the womb than girls. I never got manhandled like I do with him. SO I think I'm getting the next LSU football player or baseball.
since my back aches and Wipeout is on. I will go now!

OK..i forgot!

I never realized it's been way over a month I even updated this thing. tooooo much going on for own good right now.

Mason is good. Mason is talking, talking back, being goofy, and being mean to our pets esp the cat.

We will soon tell everyone about Mason's birthday coming in a month and a half. I need to get this all straight before John John comes, but if money wasn't a problem this would be done.

Things mason likes:
1) makeup (those little cheap makeup things at wal mart or anywhere, she'll play with those)
2) dress up with shoes included (she wears my heels around the house)
3) mickey mouse (still!), but we got the mickey mouse clubhouse tickets taken care of thanks to Pap pap
4) baby dolls, she needs the accessories, so she can be like her mommy with John.
5) outside toys period!!!! We want to get her that fisher price car, or a little slide.

update on John john now. I go to the doctor Monday to see if I have dilated any whatsoever. He has officially dropped, and it's something. That's about it tho. When I go to the doctor I'll update again!

The funny things of life....

Include Mason Ann. this child is something. for example,

-when we took her to the pool in the middle of June, she wanted nothing at all to do with the pool. now she's jumping in. I have to literally watch her every move. she's ruthless.

- she watches mommy put her cellphone in her back pocket. so she'll put her cellphone in her back pocket, in other words....diaper.

- she LOVES Ty! Ty is the name of our kitty who is still at the vet

- she is like her father. anytime in the tub, she'll go to sleep and in car also. pawpaw john can vouche for that one.

- she loves feeding hooch......and coloring him with colors or chalk.

Mason is strictly on a real cup now. no sippy. since Hooch destroyed her last sippy cup. potty training not going so well, so we gave it a break.

I wrote about Ty being at the vet. July 3rd, he was sneezing ALL night long in my face. he likes sleeping with mommy and facing me also. so sweet. and July 4th, he was just meowing like he was in pain and acting WEIRD, not eating either. so I gave him some milk to get him some strength, and he slept all day. then when I was checking on him, I noticed his left side of his face was super swollen. he didn't eat really and go to the potty. (did I tell you Ty is litter trained, and very good with mason even tho she picks him up by the neck) we called the vet all July 4th. couldn't get in touch with them, until that night. we took him to the vet, and he was either bit or stung by something. she said trauma and dont' say Hooch. Hooch runs from Ty. but as it is healing, you can tell it's a bite around his eye. my poor Ty baby. so we go visit every other day. and I got kisses from him, and Mason got to hold him. She's an animal person, like her mommy and daddy.

Party got moved to July 26th. I'm making a jalapeno dip, meat and cheese dip, rice dressing, and I dunno what else. LOL that's all I know what I'm doing.

Wednesday, July 2, 2008

what is everyone doing for the 4th?

Heck, we aren't doing anything! Too hot to go to the levee. and what happened last year at the levee...not so much. So our plan is to take her to the Balloon Championship at Pennington in the beginning of August.

My party still should be at the end of the month. I need ideas for food. Yes, I'll be cooking, and no you won't die.

I have an announcement. We adopted a kitty. We named her Ramba. She chases Hooch around the house. She's a sweet kitty. We have been comtemplating getting a kitty for the sake of Hooch, and he is very good with the kitty. but Ramba won't let him next to her. but they like to chase each other.

I forgot to post these pictures last time. no camera as of yet.

PawPaw John - I will still send your pictures
The infamous sharpie marker incident

Mason's Birthday Party!

I have a lot to say, but limited time to say it. So I'll get to the important stuff.

Mason will have a 2nd birthday party at our apartment. I rather have it at home, so I don't have to move John john around and have him outside and whatnot. It will just be easier on us.

It is Mickey mouse Clubhouse themed. I think we might be grilling, or it might be a lot of finger foods. I haven't thought about that yet. I need to start planning now, so I don't have to worry about it after John gets here.

If you want to go in with us for Playhouse Disney tickets, let us know. That's our big gift to her. she won't understand until she's there, I know. I'll make a wal mart registry of things she might want.

a lot of things to think about. any ideas are welcome.

btw..I passed the 3 hr glucose test! YAY! I don't know about getting stuck once an hour for 4 hours and not eating. that's kinda for the birds. I go back to the doctor on July 15. but I'll definitely update before then.

EDITED TO ADD:

I want to throw a get together sometime before John is born too. That will also be at my house, look for details as soon as they come. I'm trying to find a good date to do it. :D

Update!

This journal will now be mostly Miller Family, not just for Doody.

In the middle of watching the LSU vs. UNC game (seriously, it's about time), I'll post a blog. They keep that playing that one homerun from Morris in 1996. To know the first time I watched it, I watched it with my PawPaw Red, not knowing it was going to my last LSU baseball game I would watch with him. My pawpaw was awesome. I miss him terribly still, even tho it's been past 10 years since he passed away.

We all went to the doctor today. We had the ultrasound. He is fine. He is head down, active, and has a winky! So John Anthony is still John John. We got awesome pictures of his ears, some of his face, his big ol' feet, big ol head, and his fist. We tried for a little while just to see if he was still a boy, but he kept kicking. but we saw it. so now I guess I can say I can start washing clothes, and buying some more clothes for him. get his bag packed for the hospital in the next few weeks.

We also became official adults today. We got a joint account (scares me to have one, but I looked at the fine print, and if anything happens to either him/I, the other will still get the money), savings account, and a christmas club account. We are such adults now.

Man oh man!!!

Hello Hello! 27 weeks, almost 28 weeks and counting. that would mean 12 weeks technically, if he keeps the idea of having him 2 weeks early. I can't say I'm ready, because I'm so far from it, but you know what? I would love to hold him, and watch mason with him.

Last week was our first week as a stay at home mom again. It gets pretty boring when your child only wants to watch Mickey Mouse clubhouse all day long. I can only handle "hot dog" for so long. but it does keep her occupied so I can do things around the house. She is also teething also. her "eye" teeth are coming in, and apparently her comfort is now her whole entire hand in her mouth. poor buddy.

Our day consist of watching TV, getting dressed, walk "ooch" around, go get the mail, and watch more TV, or chase each other around the house. we do play and sing. I sing either "wheels on the bus", "itsy bitsy spider", or "shinnamerink". Shinnamerink is from the "elephant show" on Nickelodeon years ago that me and Hoby (my cousin) used to watch.

She has also learned how to "shhhh" you. yes, when I am fussing her, she will "shhh" me. or even better when PawPaw came for father's day, at cracker barrel, when a baby was crying. she "shhh"ed the baby. You know I laughed. just imagine how it will be with both of them, with me, myself, and I.

I will update tomorrow, because it's Mason and I going to do the doctor for an ultrasound, regular appointment, and my 1 hr glucose test.

Long time no post!!!

Well, this is my last week of work, so expect more posts. when I get home, I'm tired and don't feel like doing too much, except cook and watch TV. so expect more post I promise Pawpaw John!!!

I finally took some pictures and a video. Well I have another waiting on my camera, but the batteries need to be charged.

Many of ya'll know, that deep down I've been worried about Mason's speech with my family speech problems. well, someone has finally started talking. I can say that with the biggest smile on my face.

Her words are:
"uice" - juice
"ooch" - hooch
"no" - yes we've gotten there LOL
"yes"
"what's dat?" - what's that (we're gonna learn "who's dat?" LOL)
"pap pap" -
"i love you" - and yes it's as clear as day too
"nana"
"bad dog" - she does hear that a lot,

but everything else is going good. this is her last week of daycare. it kills me to take her out, but we can't afford that, with gas prices going up. my hours and pay staying the same, we just can't do it anymore.

we are trying to buy her tickets sometime this month for Playhouse Disney at the River Center. if not, we'll try to make it to the one in Lafayette, and stay at families house. if one of our family members wants to see the shock on Mason's face when Mickey is right in front of her, let me know! lol..that's part of her birthday present. It's in the first week of December. Yes this year, I do plan on having her birthday party, if John Anthony permits. :D but it will be mickey mouse clubhouse themed.

being in the pool

giving mommy a high - five (love the concentration look don't ya)
having telling her repeatedly to leave her daddy's shoes alone
even with messy messy hair, still so pretty
daddy...come play!!!

this is my little twin

sleeping on John John

checking to see how much charcoal we have

Alright this part is about John John! we call him John John (for right now, look what Mason got called lol), b/c there is PawPaw john, then daddy's friend Jon.
I went to the doctor yesterday, I weigh 124 (original weight was 110 or 111), so not bad at all. His heartbeat is great, he's kicking the ever loving out of me and his sister when she lays on him.
I go back on June 20th for another ultrasound, my glucose test (yuck), and a regular checkup. they want to check his heart and kidneys for the fact my little boy was being like his father and majorly hard headed and he was laying funny!!!! :-D
I also have a little small registery at wal-mart.com. under danielle Miller or webb miller. I might do one for Mason's birthday too.
but for john john also. just the necessities really. I have the swing, i'm getting a crib from my daddy and nana sherry, I have the stroller. I need the car seat that switches to toddler car seat like Masons, cloth diapers (for spit rags), clothes, diapers, wipes, those playtex drop in bottles with a BUNCH of drop ins, mylicon, infant drops, you know. ya'll have been there. LOL! so on with the goodies. ANYTHING LSU!!! since you know he will be a future baseball or football player for the LSU tigers.

These are from my 20 week ultrasound.

His profile His winky.....that little point sticking up...it's his winky :D
this has to got to be favorite. his head, hands by his head, and his feet by his face....my baby boy

another profile shot
those feet
ok..something Mason was lacking was legs, and this child has them......
looks like he is about to suck his thumb

I hope ya'll enjoy!!!

I know it's been a while....

I know I have gotten super lazy about this. I take a lot of pictures, but too lazy to post them. :( Please forgive me......

Latest accomplishments of Mason

-going to the potty by herself (thank you!) we ask her if she needs to potty, and she runs to her potty. ONCE, to poopy, and yesterday just to tee-tee. :D she's such a big girl. it's amazing how quickly they pick up on things. my goal is have to her somewhat potty trained before the other baby gets here, but I'm not pushing her. I can't, b/c that can lead to another world of problems.

-her bedtime is at 8-9 o'clock every night. she knows when it's bedtime. sometimes she comes and comes in our room, and we bring her to her bed, but she understands when mommy and daddy are in bed, it's my bedtime too. we still play "where's the binky?" at 2AM in the morning. but normally she doesn't sleep with it. she'll fall asleep with it, but after that, we can't find it in the dark.

- her eating habits have so changed. the kid that would eat anything (i think she's daycare food spoiled..I know I was), is now eating hardly anything at home. they cook rice and gravy everyday. Mommy is trying to learn how to cook it, but it comes out yucky. but she eats grilled cheese, french fries, chicken nuggets (on occasion but likes wendy's the best), oatmeal, grits, and dry cereal. but that's about it. not much of a diet huh? but yet forgot, she loooooves vegetables. so she eats some good stuff. I wouldn't say it's good, it's making green beans with bacon good for you. uhhhh...no, but it taste really yummy.
-she is now answering with shake of the head, or nod of her head. when I asked her if she wanted to stay with mommy today, she shook her head, when I asked her if she wanted to do to daycare, she nodded. :( kinda cute, but kinda sad. I don't blame her. more toys and friends at daycare, hey why not!
Mason got her 1st haircut! It was just a trim to get the dead ends off....but she was wonderful. That's our friend Pam that is cutting her hair. :D

this is what happens when your 18 month gets ahold of your digital and tries to take pictures of herself. the first one, was one of the last ones she took of herself. please mind the runny nose.
you can see allll the way down my mouth!
this one is the funniest one. we watched her take this one, and her face was priceless. this happens when you leave your 18 month old unattended with colors.........
(the bathroom door)
the door and the wall
the cabinet in the kitchen

I'm getting to the cute pictures now :D

I know she's perty. :D

18 months!?!

Yes, Mason is 18 months!?! where does the time go?

this is what I get when I tell Mason she's 18 months old. LOL I love her! what is she gonna do when she's 2 years old?

I have so many pictures to update on here about. but it's soo much......

lets do a list of what Mason has learned

1. learned other body parts: nose, ears, hair, eyes
2. how to shake her head no and nod her head yes
3. put her finger up her nose (yes..picture to prove it)
4. drink out of a big girl cup

there's more, but I think I stated it the last blog :D

and mommy has found a new way to find me some clothes. EBAY!!!!! she is bidding on a 22 pc lot of clothes for 20.00 so far! and a 19 pc lot for 8.00! YAY!!!!!! I think my mommy is going to buy a lot of stuff from Ebay now. :D I need summer clothes. I'm about to grow out of my 18 month clothes, so I need more summer clothes. Mommy needs some clothes too b/c she's about to grow out of her actual clothes. She's getting a little belly now. Hmmm..I wonder what's in there????

but here a few pictures and a video from this morning

well this wasn't from this morning, but when we went to the zoo. she was putting a french fry in her mouth

she's a lady isn't she?????????? HEHE!

This is my eye!

playing peek a boo....and put grits all over my face even tho you can't see it

one of me looking cute for measure

p.s. I'm shocked she didn't stick her finger up her nose....
